Ways to Pay
To make it most convenient for you to pay the funds that you owe, Revenue Services offers a variety of methods to submit a payment. You can pay online, by mail, by telephone, in-person, or by after-hours drop box. See more details about these options below.
You can pay online using one of these methods:
- American Express
(NOTE: a fee of 2.35% of the total will be charged when using a credit card; a fee of $3.95 per transaction will be charged when using a debit card)
- ECheck (Electronic Funds Transfer, from your checking or savings account – no fee)

We accept payments by personal check, cashier's check, or a money order payable to Revenue Services. All payments by mail must be sent to:
You can also pay by mail with a credit card (American Express, Discover, Mastercard, or Visa – see fees above). Use the payment stub found at the bottom of the letters you receive from Revenue Services. Just tear off the stub, fill in your credit card information, sign, and use the envelope enclosed with the letter to mail in your payment.
In order to receive proper credit to your account, please include your account number with payment. Please note that all payments are deposited immediately upon receipt; post-dated checks are not accepted. Do not mail cash.
NOTE: Any returned payment will result in a $25.00 returned check fee.
Making a payment can be as easy as making a telephone call. Just call 1-877-496-0510 and use our interactive voice response system. You can then pay by credit card, right over the phone. You can also make a payment or get more information and assistance by calling us at (650) 363-4155 and speaking to a Revenue Services staff member.
Feel free to make your payment by visiting our office listed below, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 am and 5 pm. Cash, credit card, check, cashier’s check, or money order are accepted. Please see above for any fees associated with those payment methods.

After-Hours Drop Box
Can’t make it in-person during business hours? Put your check, cashier’s check, or money order into an envelope and deposit it into the drop box at 455 County Center in Redwood City. Do not leave cash in the drop box. The box is located on the side of the building near the side door. Please look for the sign stating “Drop Box - Revenue Services.” And a reminder - all payments are deposited to the bank immediately upon receipt, and post-dated checks are not accepted!
