Welcome to San Mateo County Revenue Services
The trained, professional Revenue Services staff provides billing and debt-collection services for the Courts and County departments/divisions that do not perform one or both of those functions themselves. We collect accounts receivable as well as court-ordered reimbursements, fines, and other funds due.
Revenue Services currently provides billing and/or collection services in these areas:

- Private Defender fees
- Medical billings
- County Recorder fees
- Probation fines and fees
- Public Assistance Over-payments (Human Services Agency)
- Victim Restitution
- Environmental Health
- Sheriff (Work Program, Work Furlough, Electronic Monitoring)
Revenue Services works to collect debts owed to these offices in a reasonable, compassionate way – while we can apply stringent legal means when necessary, we prefer to work with you to develop a realistic repayment plan. Please call (650) 363-4155 for further information about these options.
Due to the evolving COVID-19 situation, Revenue Services is happy to announce our office will be available for walk-in payments Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM at our new outside teller window. Upon your arrival, please call 650-542-6240, and a staff member will assist you. The county encourages our customers to pay their accounts on line, over the phone or by using our drop box located at 455 County Center, Redwood City.
